"Beautiful refurbishment of an old Cotswold inn. In the past patronised by students from what used to be the Royal Agricultural College. Now a swanky food pub. Cannot comment on the restaurant as they told us it was full at lunch, so our experience was limited to bar snacks and drinks. If the snacks are representative, the kitchen needs to up its game. A cheese salad was notable for the lack of cheese so basically a few radicchio leaves costing £7! I understand the huge cost of refurbishment needs to be recouped but customers will only come back if they get reasonable value for money. A very nice place to enjoy a drink though and in summer the large patio garden should be very popular!"
