Harden's survey result
Summary
“Outstanding food and service” are in store for guests at this tiny 14-seat restaurant from Elizabeth & James Winter (formerly of the highly rated Butchers Arms near Gloucester) – he works solo in the kitchen, sourcing dayboat fish and rare-breed meat to send out “dishes good enough to forgive the high pricing”, with “three choices for each course”. “They make the best they can of their small space”, two cute rooms in a Grade II listed 18th-century building in the historic town centre.
For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Tiny restaurant (14 covers) on the Main Street of lovely Ledbury. Run by a husband and wife team with one assistant. The husband cooks and prepares a short and very interesting menu. The highlight was my Cornish fish soup which was exceptionally tasty. Deserves its recent Michelin star. "
"Can’t believe this hasn’t made it into the guide - just awarded a star - outstanding food and service . "
