“Amazing, innovative food”, “welcoming staff and a brilliant wine list” combine to good effect at this neighbourhood restaurant, which was opened by Wesley & Francesca Smalley as the Covid restrictions lifted and has prospered ever since – what’s more, it’s “fantastic value for money”. Top Menu Tip – “the lightest cheese soufflé ever”.

“A wonderful neighbourhood restaurant, which provides all the elements of interesting and delicious dishes and friendly unobtrusive service” – Wesley & Francesca Smalley opened their excellent restaurant in the town centre in 2021 and it‘s been winning awards as a top- quality local ever since. It has a sensibly focused fixed-price à la carte menu that’s “to die for”.

"Friendly welcome as always , service friendly and attentive .the pig cheek taco was tasty tender and mouth wateringly spiced. The soufflé which my wife ate was delightful and lite . For a change had the vegetarian dish mushroom kha which was tangy and tasy with beautiful depth of flavour whilst my wife had the hake which was faultless . Puddings were small but perfectly formed with the apple and calvados cream dish and affogato . Dont know of anywhere else in the area you can eat for £50 for 3 courses and have such a lovely tasting meal"
